NBC series “Chicago Med” has absolutely no lack of romance drama in Season 2. Dr. Natalie Manning, in particular, has feelings for medical student and her late husband’s best friend, Jeff Clarke. But she also has a soft corner for Dr. Will Halstead. So, who will the surgeon choose to be with eventually?

“Natalie’s relationship with Jeff is very complex,” executive producer of “Chicago Med” Andrew Schneider told TVLine, “He was her late husband’s best friend. That’s sort of always there. Her late husband is always the elephant in the room in their relationship.” Schneider stressed that Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) is smitten by Jeff (Jeff Hephner).

What about Natalie and Will (Nick Gehlfuss)? “Chicago Med” fans frequently ship Manstead and there is clearly some chemistry between them. “Once you put feelings like that about somebody out there in the open, you can’t turn them off,” Nick Gehlfuss said about his character’s relationship with the doctor.

Although things are going swimmingly well between Will and his girlfriend Nina (Patti Murin), there is no denying that his love for Natalie isn’t going away anytime soon. Add to that, they work together. “And the fact that we work so close together, you’re going to be seeing some of that come into play in the near future with Manstead,” Gehlfuss said.

What about the NBC show’s newest emerging couple? Dr. Daniel Charles’s (Oliver Platt) daughter Robyn (Mekia Cox) and Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell). Donnell explained why Dr. Charles doesn’t approve of his daughter’s new love interest. “Connor has his own family issues that he has to work with that Dr. Charles recognizes. So [Dr. Charles] gets a little parentally protective.” However, that isn’t going to stop the two from exploring their feelings for each other.
