FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The Purchasing managers' Index of the Chicago area has improved in March from February although not enough to show expansion of the business activity, while prices have gone up adding inflationary pressures, according to the latest NAPM-Chicago Business Survey.

In March, the Chicago Business PMI has risen to 48.2 from 44.5 in February, with the prices index growing to 83.9 from 79.4 in February. The employment index has risen to 44.6 from 33.5 in February, and the New Orders Index rose to 53.9 from 48.8 in February.
