A chicken in China laid a monster egg.

The village of Guizhou in southwest China laid a giant egg that contained two yolks and a smaller egg inside, The Independent reports.

The enormous egg was cracked on a video by China’s NDT TV.

Ms. Yang, the hen’s owner, thought her chicken was dying when she laid a previous jumbo egg that weighed about a half a pound, she told the news outlet. The recently laid “triplet” egg weighed about the same and was around three times the size of a normal egg, Christian Post reports.

“I’m more than 80 now and I’ve never seen an egg like this before,” Yang says in the video.

She speculates the hen’s diet is to blame for the ginormous eggs. Yang said she started feeding the chicken rice instead of corn, NDT TV reports.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the largest bird egg on record weighed more than 5 pounds and was laid by a Swedish ostrich in 2008.
