RTTNews - Tuesday, Chile's National Institute of Statistics said that the consumer price index or CPI rose 1.9% year-over-year in June, slower than the 3% increase in the previous month. Economists were looking for an increase of 1.7%.

On a monthly basis, the CPI increased 0.3% in June, after falling 0.3% in May. Economists had expected an increase of 0.2%.

For the January to June period, the CPI rose 0.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.
