Titanic is back -- in eye-popping 3D -- but fans of the film that are living in China have been missing one of the most famous scenes of the movie. Government censors in China has expunged the famous nude scene of Kate Winslet, playing the character Rose, where's she's sketched by Leonardo DiCaprio's character, Jack.

Considering the vivid 3D effects, we fear that viewers may reach out their hands for a touch and thus interrupt other people's viewing, said an official at China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television according to the Daily Mail. To avoid potential conflicts between viewers and out of consideration of building a harmonious ethical social environment, we've decided to cut off the nudity scenes.

The original scene depicts Rose, entangled in an engagement with a wealthy man aboard the ship, asking Jack to paint a provocative picture of her. Thus, the lovers begin a fleeting, passionate romance culminating in the wreck of the ship and the tragic loss of Jack.

Fans were outraged by the deletion of Kate Winslet's breasts by the government. I've been waiting almost 15 years, and not for the 3D icebergs, wrote one Titanic fan on an internet forum. Despite the missing breasts, fans are turning out in droves to see Titanic 3D. Just one day after the release, more than 10 million micro-bloggers were discussing the film on Sina Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter.
