RTTNews - China's consumer price index or CPI dropped 1.8% year-on-year in July, after a 1.7% fall in the preceding month, the National Bureau of Statistics said Tuesday. Economists expected a 1.7% drop.

At the same time, the producer price index or PPI fell 8.2% annually in July, faster than a 7.8% fall in the preceding month, but slower than the 8.3% fall expected by economists.
