China's Minister of Commerce on Friday called for developed members of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation to live up to their pledges of enacting free trade by 2010.

The global financial crisis should not derail trade liberalisation, Chen Deming said on the sidelines of an APEC meeting.

He called for review measures to track developed countries compliance with the pledges, made at the 1994 APEC conference in Bogor, Indonesia.
