Thirty two miners in China's southwest Guizhou Province were confirmed dead and three others still missing, due to a coal mine gas leak that trapped the miners on Thursday afternoon.

About 86 miners were working in the shaft when the gas started leaking at Qunli Coal Mine In Nayong County, but the cause for the gas leak has not yet been confirmed.

Rescue workers have confirmed that only 52 miners have already been saved and that the chances for survival of the remaining miners still trapped in the shaft, is in very big question, although some have already been confirmed dead.
