RTTNews - China is poised to announce gross domestic product numbers for the second quarter of 2009 on Thursday, headlining a modest day for Asian economic activity. Analysts are looking for a 7.8 percent increase on year following the 6.1 percent annual expansion in the first quarter.

Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will release its tertiary activity index for May, with forecasts calling for an increase of 0.4 percent on month following the 2.2 percent gain in the previous month. The Finance Ministry also will provide weekly capital inflow numbers for stocks and bonds.
