China Steel raises prices by avg 12.1 pct for April-May

China Steel Corp, Taiwan's top steel producer, said on Thursday that it will raise domestic prices of its steel products by an average of about 12.1 percent for April-May.

It said the rise was because of rising coal costs sparked by surges in commodity prices.
