China's trade balance surplus expanded to $11.42 billion during the month of April, compared with a previous surplus of $0.14 billion in March, and the actual reading came higher than the anticipated surplus of $3.20 billion.

Exports rose to 29.9% during the year ended April, from 35.8% a year earlier, and forecasts referred to 29.5%. On the other hand, imports (YoY) inclined 21.8% in April, compared with a previous 27.3% last year, while analyst's estimated of 28.9%.
