China's trade balance surplus expanded to $31.48 billion during the month of July, compared with a previous surplus of $22.27 billion in June, and the actual reading came higher than the anticipated surplus of $27.40 billion.

Exports rose to 20.4% during the year ended July, from 17.9% a year earlier, and forecasts referred to 17.0%. On the other hand, imports (YoY) inclined 22.9% in July, more than expected 22.0% and the prior reading 19.3%.
