The Chinese economy released the annualized consumer price index reading for the year ended April, which released with an actual reading 5.3%, lower than a previous 5.4% a year earlier, while the market's expectations estimated of 5.2%.

While the PPI (YoY) increased 6.8% during the year ended April, compared with a previous reading 7.3% last year, and the actual reading came slower than analysts' forecasts that referred to 7.0%.
