China's trade balance surplus narrowed to $12.93 billion in September compared with a previous surplus of $15.70 billion, while it was expected to narrow to $17.00 billion. Exports fell 15.2% in September from a year earlier compared with a prior decline by 23.4%, while forecasts referred to 21.0%. As forimports, itfell 3.5% in September from a year ago coming after a decline by 17.0%, and it came better than the forecasted -15.0%.
