Beekeepers Wang Dalin and Lv Kongjiang competed in a Bee-attracting competition in China on July 16. The event, which took place in Shaoyang, Hunan province, saw the two standing on a scale, wearing only a pair of shorts and using queen bees they reared to attract other bees onto their bodies.

The queen bees were put in small cages and tied around their bodies while other bees recognized the scent and began to swarm around, covering the two competitors' bodies and forming a suit of bees.

Covered head-to-toe in the buzzing bugs, the unafraid competitors were unable to beat the bee-attracting record, held by an American, Mark Biancaniello, who wore 87 pounds (39.5kg) - or around 350,000 bees - on his body.

In the end, it was Dalin who won the competition (but not the record) after attracting 57 pounds (26 kg) of bees to his body in 60 minutes, while Kongjiang had just 50 pounds (22.9 kg).
