Against the European currency, the Chinese yuan edged higher during early deals on Wednesday. At 9:05 pm ET, the yuan reached a 2-day high of 9.0071 against the euro, compared to 9.0563 hit late New York Tuesday. The euro-yuan pair is currently trading at 9.0237 with 8.88 seen as the next target level.

The People's Bank of China has set today's central parity rate for euro-yuan pair at 9.0159.
