In a recent message on Twitter, Chris Brown hinted that he might retire from music after his upcoming album, "X." Reuters

Chris Brown is taking a moment to rest up after suffering a seizure on Friday at a Hollywood recording studio.

His rep confirmed the incident to Us Weekly.

"While in the studio working early this morning, Chris suffered a nonepileptic seizure," his rep told Us in a statement. "He was not hospitalized. "His doctor tended to him this afternoon and attributes the NES to intense fatigue and extreme emotional stress, both due to the continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity."

Brown has become increasingly vocal about his distaste for the way he feels he is being publicly portrayed.

On Tuesday, he took to his Twitter to vent just a little of his frustration.

"Don't worry, mainstream America," he wrote in a tweet that was later deleted. "After this X album, it'll probably be my last album."

He continued: "Being famous is amazing when it's for your music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when I was 18. I'm cool and over it!"

Brown's will have a probation hearing on Aug. 19 to determine if he violated his probation in connection to an alleged hit-and-run accident in May.
