Marvel has announced that Thor will become a woman in a comic book relaunch, but what does this mean for Chris Hemsworth? The actor has portrayed the Norse thunder god-turned-superhero is three movies, with a fourth on the way. But who would play the superheroine in the future was a question that many Twitter users had after Jason Aaron announced he would now be a lady.

"This is not She-Thor," Aaron said. "This is not Lady Thor. This is not Thorita. This is THOR."

There will be more changes, Marvel editor Wil Moss explained. “The inscription on Thor's hammer reads ‘Whosoever holds this hammer, if HE be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.’ Well it's time to update that inscription,” Moss said.

“The new Thor continues Marvel's proud tradition of strong female characters like Captain Marvel, Storm, Black Widow and more," the editor continued. "And this new Thor isn't a temporary female substitute - she's now the one and only Thor, and she is worthy!”

Thor, the one who is now female, is the eighth female protagonist in the Marvel Universe, and she will target an audience long neglected: women and girls.

Most people are fine with a little extra girl power in the world, but what many fans seemed to be concerned with was Hemsworth, the Australian hunk who played the character before her makeover. He is currently in the middle of filming “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” which is set to premiere in 2015.

Here are some of the questions people had on Tuesday:

Will he be recast?

Who would break the news to the 30-year-old?

Would he keep the role and just dress in drag? That would be a sight.

Is there even a woman out there prettier than Hemsworth?
