"Jurassic World 2: Fallen Kingdom," the sequel to the 2015 film "Jurassic World," gave dinosaur fans a reason to be excited for the movie due out in theaters in June 2018.

The brief teaser trailer video clip shows the movie's leading character, Owen Grady as played by actor Chris Pratt, gently playing with what appears to be a baby raptor. Colin Trevorrow posted the short teaser to Twitter Wednesday and Jurassic Park, Jurassic World fans immediately were drawn to the cute clip. The co-writer of both the first "Jurassic World" and this film tagged co-stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and director J.A. Bayona.

"From our Jurassic family to yours," tweeted Trevorrow Wednesday. The baby dino can be seen purring as the famed raptor-tamer shows his loving side.

Many of the original 1993 "Jurassic Park" film figures are still in the dinosaur franchise into 2018. Jeff Goldblum is expected to reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm after not having returned to the films since the first sequel "Lost World." And Steven Spielberg, who directed the first iconic film, is still signed on as an executive producer of this latest installment.
