Chrissy Teigen had some fans worried when she didn’t make it to the 2017 Billboard Music Awards at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas last night. Fortunately, she has since revealed on social media why she wasn’t there to show her support to husband John Legend during his performance.

On Sunday, Teigen received a lot of questions about her whereabouts from her fans on Twitter when she was nowhere to be found on the event’s red carpet. To appease her fans, the “Lip Sync Battle” co-host broke her silence and explained why she ditched the BBMAs this year. “My sister and niece live in Vegas. I’m hanging out with them and not trying to force my back into a dress,” she wrote.

Some fans were disappointed by Teigen’s decision to watch the show from the small screen instead of being there in person. “So no classy Chrissy facial reactions,” one wrote, referencing the model’s iconic reactions at live events that have become memes on social media. “It would be more entertaining if you were there. Need your priceless facial expressions,” another chimed in.

There were also fans who were pleased with Teigen’s decision. “I was wondering where you were… good choice. I’d choose comfy sweatpants over a fancy dress any day,” a fan stated. “Nothing better than family! Besides, the best view is on a tv screen,” another fan commented.

Since the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model skipped the event, Legend had to walk the red carpet alone. Despite going solo, the “All Of Me” hitmaker managed to flash some smiles in front of the photographers. He also shared a couple of pics featuring his plaid Gucci suit and loafers for the awards show on his Instagram.

Teigen has always been very vocal and candid about her struggles to dress up for big Hollywood events. She previously shared with her fans stories about her struggling to fit her breasts into a zip-front jumpsuit and the time she had to get her pants tailored because of her baby bump. Many fans appreciated her honesty when it comes to her wardrobe woes, according to People.

Aside from Teigen’s wardrobe stories, she’s also known for having a good sense of humor. Earlier this month, she stumbled upon a cheeky tweet from reality TV star Kim Zolciak-Biermann. The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star jokingly asked Teigen: “Who does Brielle have to blow in order to meet him?” The question was posted by Zolciak after hearing about Legend’s Atlanta concert. In response, Teigen stated: “[Please] don’t blow anyone it’s not that good of a show. [Joking] it’s good but I’ll get you [tickets] without the oral.”

Teigen kept her word. Last Friday, Zolciak and her family got the chance to attend Legend’s show. Zolciak, her husband Kroy Biermann and her kids even met the singer backstage. The two celebrity mothers also bonded and shared a funny video for their fans on Snapchat, as per E! News. In the clip, the two continued their green joke before bursting out laughing.

Legend’s show was held on the same day as Zolciak’s birthday, so the “Don’t Be Tardy” star grabbed the chance to give a shout-out to Legend for making her 39th birthday special. “Such a great way to end my birthday!! If you haven’t seen [John Legend] in concert you are missing out! He is incredible,” she wrote.
