Chloe Lukasiak’s fans came out in droves online to congratulate the former “Dance Moms” star on winning a Teen Choice Award last month, but it appears no one was more proud than her mom. In a new behind-the-scenes video from the 2015 awards show, released on Chloe’s YouTube channel Tuesday, the former reality star can be seen getting teary-eyed after her daughter’s Choice Dancer win.

The video starts off by showing Chloe, 14, taking in the event’s blue carpet experience with her boyfriend, fellow TV star Ricky Garcia, and posing for press shots. When the video cuts to her walking onstage to collect her award, various clips from her prior dance performances flash on the screen, including scenes from “Dance Moms.”

“This is such an honor,” Chloe tells the crowd before going into her now famous acceptance speech. “To anyone who has ever been told that they can’t do it, they shouldn’t do it, or they aren’t good enough -- ignore it. Do it anyways and prove them wrong.”

A later shot shows Chloe walking into the Teen Choice Awards press room as her mom and Ricky stand in the wings. When the camera pans to Christi, she is visibly emotional and covers her face with her hand. When Ricky and Chloe go into the press room to watch Chloe’s interviews, Christi, who called Chloe’s win her “fight song,” proudly smiles and snaps photos of her daughter.

“I’ve had to push through a lot of things and overcome obstacles,” Chloe tells the reporters. “But in the end, its all worth it because I’m standing here with a surfboard."

The video concludes with a message from Chloe and the hashtag “#provethemwrong.” “Thank you to all the fans that helps make this Teen Choice Award become a reality,” reads the note.

Chloe was the first person to ever win the Teen Choice Awards for Choice Dancer. She was up against several other well-known dancers, including her former “Dance Moms” teammate, Maddie Ziegler. Just days after winning for Choice Dancer, she walked away with another high-profile win for Favorite Dancer 17 & Under at the 2015 Industry Dance Awards.

Chloe and Christi exited “Dance Moms” in October 2014. The mother-daughter duo had starred on the show since its premiere in 2011. The series, which follows competitive dancers and their mothers as they navigate the world of dance, is expected to return to Lifetime for Season 6 in 2016.
