Christina Aguilera has had a busy week. A few days after announcing she is engaged to boyfriend Matt Rutler, the "Beautiful" singer shared that she is pregnant.

According to a report from People magazine, a rep for the 33-year-old singer and “The Voice” judge confirmed Aguilera is expecting her second child. While the music-biz A-lister has yet to comment on her burgeoning baby bump, a source reports that Aguilera and film producer Rutler, 29, are thrilled about their upcoming bundle of joy. “They’re very much in love and are really excited to take this next step,” said the insider.

Aguilera’s pregnancy announcement comes less than one week after Rutler proposed to the blonde songstress on Valentine’s Day after three years of dating. “He asked and I said…” Aguilera posted on her official Twitter account Feb. 14, also sharing an image of her and Rutler holding hands -- which prominently highlighted her large diamond engagement ring.

While fans have already begun congratulating Aguilera on her pregnancy, the baby news doesn’t exactly come as a surprise. Earlier this month, OK! magazine published a report that the former Disney Mousketeer was expecting her second child, even sharing a picture of what was believed to be the singer's “baby bump.” According to the gossip magazine, which quoted Aguilera as saying “I’m pregnant” on its cover, the Grammy winner had discussed the pregnancy and allegedly said, “This baby saved my life.”

OK! also published claims that the singer was not planning to wed her child’s father. “She has no plans to marry,” a source said.

The child will be the second for Aguilera, who welcomed her first child, Max Liron, with her former husband, Jordan Bratman, in 2008. Aguilera first met her now-fiancé on the set of the musical film “Burlesque” in 2010, where Rutler served as a production assistant.
