Tina and Bud Grimmie are turning towards religion and God to help them cope with the tragic death of their daughter, Christina Grimmie. The singer’s family held another memorial service so her friends and fans could pay their respects.

According to E! Online, Tina had a very difficult time speaking about her daughter in front of the large crowd Friday night, telling everyone that she didn’t have much to say. “To anybody who says that I’m strong, I want you to know that I’m the weakest person here and I declare my dependence on Jesus Christ because I don’t have anything else,” she said. “It’s just so much…”

The outlet reported that Tina started crying and her husband stepped forward to comfort her and also address the crowd. “I don’t like being in front of crowds,” he began. “But this crowd has blessed me beyond words. I want to share what I’ve shared with several people here and that’s there’s this gigantic hole in my heart that I know is never going to go away.”

Bud added: “But God showed me that he’s way bigger than that hole. The three things that keep me walking upright, otherwise I would just be a crumpled up mess in the corner, are that: I know I’m going to see her again … she’s way better off now, she’s more alive now that she’s ever been, she’s not going to be hurt anymore, and thirdly, she this is where I’m wrestling, is that God’s plan is better than my plan.”

Christina, 22, was shot Friday, June 10, following a performance at Plaza Live Theater in Orlando, Florida. During a meet and greet with fans, a man named Kevin James Loibl walked up to her and shot her. Loibl was tackled by Christina’s older brother, Marcus Grimmie, but during the scuffle Loibl shot and killed himself. Christina died from her injuries last Saturday, June 11, her rep said.

As of right now, there are no known connections between Christina and Loibl. People connected to the former “The Voice” Season 6 contestant told TMZ that Christina never had any contact with the shooter. However, Loibl’s co-workers told the outlet that he used to talk about playing video games with her and often discussed marrying her. TMZ also reported that he was so intent on becoming Christina’s boyfriend that he supposedly had Lasik eye surgery, a hair transplant and went on a vegan diet to help him lose weight.
