“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is back! The rebooted version of the classic 1975 British comedy/horror/musical is scheduled to air on Fox for two hours. Fans of the cult classic can celebrate the 40th anniversary of the film which gained a cult following due to its amazing costumes, larger-than-life performances and depiction of differing sexualities.
Christina Millian, who plays servant Riff Raff’s sister Magenta on the Fox musical, shared a photo of her iconic character on Instagram. The singer sports long, tightly curled pink colored hair that is fashioned in a half-knot at the top of her head. True to her character, she is wearing a maid’s costume.
“The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do The Time Warp Again” stars Tim Curry, from the original movie, as the criminologist, “Penny Dreadful” actor Reeve Carney as Riff Raff, the maid/handyman, “Orange Is The New Black” actress Laverne Cox in the role of mad scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice as Janet Weiss, Disney Channel actor Ryan McCartan as Victoria’s fiancé Brad Majors, Staz Nair as Rocky Horror, singer Adam Lambert as Eddie and “Masters Of Sex” actress Annaleigh Ashford as a groupie named Columbia.

The Fox TV movie will follow the original script written by Richard O’Brien and Jim Sharman. However, it will reimagine the story visually. “High School Musical’s” Kenny Ortega will direct and choreography the musical comedy.
The plot of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” much like the original, revolves around a straitlaced couple seeking shelter from a storm. Janet and Brad soon find themselves in the castle of a transsexual alien mad scientist who is determined on creating a buff bodybuilder named Rocky.
“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” reboot airs from 8 to 10 p.m. EDT on Thursday, Oct. 20 on Fox.
