Networking giant Cisco Systems on Monday introduced new IP phones and expanded opportunities for channel partners to sell Cisco TelePresence systems and licenses.

According to the company, the new programs, packages and products will enable its partners to capture the $34 billion internet market by increasing business productivity and innovation.

The new products expand on Cisco Unified Communications, Cisco TelePresence and a new Web 2.0 application platform. All of them use the network as the platform to help enable people to connect, communicate and collaborate from any application, device and workspace.

Collaboration is the next phase of the Internet, a phase that analysts see as a $34 billion market opportunity, and at the center of this phase is the network, said Don Proctor, senior vice president, software group at Cisco, said in a statement.

New in the offering are IP Phone 6900 Series, Cisco Unified Videoconferencing 7.0, the Cisco WebEx authorization and new Cisco Unified Workspace Licensing Entry Edition. With the introduction of the Collaboration User Group, Cisco is presenting opportunities for partners and customers to collaborate in a virtual, interactive community for Cisco Unified Communications.

Many users at these facilities need basic reliable voice services, but we also have user populations who need more advanced capabilities. The introduction of the Cisco Unified IP Phone 6900 Series allows us to accelerate our adoption of Cisco Unified Communications, says Mr. Vijay Mahajan, senior general manager, Mahindra & Mahindra.
