Claire Holt is sinking her teeth into a new, exciting adventure! The former “Vampire Diaries”/“The Originals” star shared with fans via Instagram on Monday that she’s getting hitched to her longtime boyfriend Matt Kaplan.

The romantic photo features the Australian beauty posing with her smiling beau… and her sparkling engagement ring! “Yes!” she captioned the dreamy image, confirming to fans that she agreed to become Mrs. Kaplan.

The blond haired actress previously revealed to People magazine in June that her soon-to-be husband was the reason she was able to master her American accent.

"My boyfriend -- Matt Kaplan -- is American, so any time I'm unsure of how to say something, I say, 'Hey how do you say this?' and he yells it out," the actress said while promoting her NBC crime drama “Aquarius,” which premiered in May. "I think it's always going to sound funny to him and not quite right, but hopefully the public who watch it won't be able to catch on!"

In July 2014, E! Online reported that Holt had agreed to join the John McNamara period drama as a series regular alongside David Duchovny, Gaius Charles, Gethin Anthony and Grey Damon. The casting news left “The Originals” fans wondering what this would mean for the future of Rebekah Mikaelson. Four months prior to revealing her participation in the Los Angeles-based series, Holt declared she was going to temporarily hang up her fangs from The CW show, which is filmed in Atlanta.

"This show has been so amazing for my career, and I've had such unbelievable material, it was just never my intention to be away from home this long," she told Buzzfeed. "It was a tough choice that I didn't fully make it right up until the end, because I was enjoying myself so much. But three seasons [of “Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals”] later, I realized I hadn't been home to Australia in years, I hadn't seen my family, and I hadn't spent time with the people I loved. But I want to make it so clear that this show has such a special place in my heart. I am so glad I was able to do ‘The Originals,’ and I want to be a part of that family for a long time."

Well, it looks like “The Originals” family just got a little bit bigger with Holt’s engagement to Kaplan.

Be sure to catch Holt on "Aquarius," which airs Thursdays on NBC at 9 p.m. EDT.
