‘Clash Of Clans’ Next Update Is Huge But Not Ready For Sneak Peeks, Supercell Says

Clash Of Clans players can expect a big and different update to the game in the near future. While sneak peaks have yet to begin officially, Supercell teased the news on social media Thursday. In case you can’t read the embedded post below, here’s the message in its entirely.

“Hey Chief! We know you’re excited to hear more news about the upcoming update. We’re just as excited to share more with you but we’re not quite ready yet. One thing we can say is that this update will be different from any other update. It will be much bigger and we can’t wait to share it with you! We appreciate your patience so stay tuned! Clash On!”

What we’re getting from the official message is essentially a good-news-bad-news scenario. While the words seem to suggest an April release for the update is either out of the question or unlikely, at least we’re able to confirm that it will bring lots of exciting stuff to the table. The fact that it’s bigger and “different from any other update” says a lot considering how much Clash Of Clans has evolved in the past five years.

It’s worth noting that prominent YouTubers with inside knowledge have been hyping the update too. In that sense, we’re lead to believe what’s next is a lot more than PR speak.

Even though we don’t have any official sneak peeks of the patch, leaks from nearly a year ago suggest the team has been hard at work on a new Shipwreck feature. In recent updates, data miners have been able to conclude it offers some sort of “change village” option. Will Clash Of Clans players finally be able to operate from several villages at once? Does this boat take supplies from one to other? Might this Shipwreck somehow unify all of Supercell’s games? Those ideas seem possible to us.

However, in the absence of an official timetable, there’s no telling when sneak peeks will begin.
