Country music singers might be inspired by Red Solo Cups and Georgia Peaches, but on Wednesday night they brought the glitz and glamour to Nashville for the 2012 Country Music Television (CMT) Awards.
Carrie Underwood stepped out in a sparkling charcoal Randi Rahm mini dress that showed off her killer legs. She paired her ensemble with Gio Diev ankle-cuff booties and a black clutch. She was also decked out in $21,000 worth of gems from Tiffany & Co., according to Us Weekly. Underwood likes to flaunt her toned figure at more laidback events, so it is no surprise that she opted for a shorter, sexier look for the CMT Awards.
Underwood proved to be the biggest winner of the night, on and off the red carpet. She took home Video of the Year for Good Girl and Collaborative Video of the Year with Brad Paisley for Remind Me. Then, she treated fans to a kick-butt performance of Good Girl, proving that the shy girl from Oklahoma who tried out for American Idol has blossomed into a powerful woman.
For her performance, Underwood rocked sparkles once again -- this time in a gold mini dress with strappy stilettos.
Another American Idol alum, Kelly Pickler, attended Wednesday's CMT Awards dressed to the nines. Pickler went with a form-fitting, chest-baring pink Herve Leger by Max Azria dress from the Spring 2012 collection. The tiered frock featured a wide open neck that showed off Pickler's ample curves. Her gold platform Giuseppe Zanotti peep-toe heels matched the dress to a T.
Hostess of the show, Kristen Bell, opted for a glistening gold Reem Acra gown from the designer's Spring 2012 collection. She added some red lipstick, loose waves and a matching gold clutch to compete the ensemble. Definitely a nod to sartorial for the actress typically known as an on-screen funny girl.
Twilight star Ashley Greene was a rather unexpected guest at the 2012 CMT Awards. Of course, the vampiress looked absolutely stunning in blush Donna Karan Atelier frock donned with feathers at the skirt. She paired her look with bronze Nicholas Kirkwood heels.
Jennie Garth, fresh off her divorce from Twilight actor Peter Facinelli, attended Wednesday's awards show in a strapless sea-green dress with shoulder applique. The mother of three looked lovely in the swirling blue-green shade, complemented by peep-toe pumps.
