Fresh off news of the announcement for the band lineup at Coachella 2012, a Facebook group is giving away free tickets to the music festival.

According to Facebook group Win a trip for 3 to Coachella 2012, all users need to do is like the page.

To enter the contest: 1. LIKE THE PAGE 2. LIKE THIS STATUS 3. SHARE THIS STATUS, read the initial post.

Winners will be selected at random through an automated system, on two dates: Feb. 10th and March 10th. The prize is a $500 travel share and three GA weekend passes to Coachella. Winners are expected to make their own hotel and transportation accomodations.

The group said it is in no way involved with Facebook or Goldenvoice, the promoter of Coachella, as it is run by an outside company. However, last year for Coachella 2011, the official Twitter account tweeted about a collaboration with The Creators Project to give away free passes. Participants entered by liking The Creators Project on Facebook.

Since the group was created on Wednesday, the page has amassed over 43,000 likes when this article went live.

The official Coachella Twitter account, which made the ticket sale and lineup announcement on Monday, has not addressed the Facebook group or contest.

Organizers of Coachella made the announcement late Monday night via Twitter with a post that read, psst... pass it on.

The featured headliners include The Black Keys, Radiohead, and Dr. Dre with Snoop Dogg. Jimmy Cliff, Arctic Monkeys, David Guetta, the Shins, Florence and the Machine, and At The Drive-In. In addition to the headlining groups, over 100 bands are slated to perform at the show.

The 2012 Coachella Music Festival will be held in Indio, Calif. from April 13-15 and April 20-22. Festival passes will go on sale Friday, Jan. 13th at 10am PST at Festival passes will cost $285.

The six-day, two weekend concert is the first time Coachella will be extended over multiple weekends, according to the organizers, who announced the extension back in May. The lineups for each weekend will be identical.

Last year, over 75,000 people purchased three-day passes to Coachella, featuring Kanye West, Arcade Fire and the Strokes, bringing in a reported $23 million when tickets sold out a week into sales.
