Before the curtain falls on this earnings season, investors will hear next week from several more major players, including Cisco, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Comcast and General Motors.

Of the 317 companies in the S&P 500 that have reported earnings so far, 69 percent have exceeded analysts' expectations, above a 62 percent average since 1994 and 65 percent over the past four quarters, according to Thomson Reuters data.

Fourth-quarter earnings for S&P 500 companies rose 5 percent, according to the data, above a 1.9 percent forecast at the start of the earnings season.

Monday Before Market Open, or BMO:

American Capital Ltd. (NASDAQ:ACAS) is an equity firm and global asset manager. The company has a market capitalization of $4.13 billion. It is expected to report FY 2012 fourth-quarter EPS of 25 cents on revenue of $147.77 million, compared with a profit of 67 cents a share on revenue of $160 million in the year-ago period. American Capital is trading at around $13.08 a share. Over the past 12 months, the stock has gained 53.7 percent.

Radian Group Inc. (NYSE:RDN) is a credit enhancement company with a focus on domestic, first-lien residential mortgage insurance. The company has a market capitalization of $919.46 million. It is expected to report a loss of 50 cents a share in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2012 on revenue of $200.03 million, compared with a loss of 92 cents a share on revenue of $184.41 million in the year-ago period. Monday After Market Close, or AMC:

Masco Corporation (NYSE:MAS) manufactures, distributes and installs home improvement and building products. The company has a market capitalization of $6.38 billion. It is expected to report a loss of 1 cent a share in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2012 on revenue of $1.8 billion, compared with a loss of 9 cents a share on revenue of $1.74 billion in the year-ago period. Masco Corporation is trading at around $17.86 a share. Over the past 12 months, the stock has gained 38.2 percent.

Tuesday BMO:

Avon Products, Inc. (NYSE:AVP) is a manufacturer and marketer of beauty and related products. The company has a market capitalization of $7.47 billion. It is expected to report FY 2012 fourth-quarter EPS of 27 cents on revenue of $3 billion, compared with a profit of 39 cents a share on revenue of $3.04 billion in the year-ago period. Avon Products is trading at around $17.28 a share. Over the past 12 months, the stock has lost 6.7 percent.

Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (NYSE:MMC) is a global professional services firm providing advice and solutions in the areas of risk, strategy and human capital.
