Coco Austin has been relatively quiet about her scandalous photos with rapper AP.9 that surfaced in December, prompting her husband, Ice-T, to announce over Twitter that he felt “disrespected.” But in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, Coco opened up about the incident and how it has affected her marriage, which is chronicled on the E! reality show “Ice Loves Coco.”

Coco briefly apologized in December for the now-deleted Instagram photos that showed her getting a little too friendly with AP.9, as the rapper laid his hands on her voluptuous curves and she kissed his neck.

In an uncharacteristically scornful tweet, Ice-T chastised his wife for the photos, writing, "Most of [the pics are] disrespectful and in bad taste. She's made me look and feel like s--t." Coco initially dismissed the photos as no big deal, but soon after seeing her husband’s reaction she changed her tune, saying they had been in “poor taste.”

When asked about those photos and a subsequent photo that was released by a friend of AP.9’s, Moose Diesel, Coco was clearly still feeling the aftereffects of the scandal.

“Do I want to set the record straight? No, because that's old news,” Coco answered with a sigh. “And those pictures [with Moose Diesel] are old too. People are going to think what they think, and there's nothing I can do about it. But people were also saying my booty was fake too no matter what I said or did, so there's nothing I can do about that either.”

But in spite of the negative publicity after the photos, and the obvious friction it caused with Ice-T, Coco maintained that their marriage is still strong.

“Ice and I just live our own lives,” Coco said. “I have to answer to him, and he has to answer to me, and that's it. We don't care about the outside world, and, even though it can be harsh out there, we just have to deal with it.”

Coco apologized soon after the release of the photos but maintained her innocence, saying, “Ice is right, the pics I took with this man were in poor taste & I disrespected my husband however the pics were the only thing that happened."

But despite her pleas of innocence, tabloids reported that the couple’s 12-year marriage was on the rocks. According to Coco, “There’s no truth to that rumor at all.

“I look at couples in the street who are in their 60s and have been together for 40 years, and they're my idols,” she said. “That's Ice and me for sure. We already feel like that, because we've been together so long.

“I think when the show first came out, people would see this rapper and a model together and think: ‘What could they possibly be doing right?’” she added, referring to their popular reality TV show. “But as the show as gone on, they've seen how we're really in love and really into each other.”

In addition to filming their ongoing reality show, Coco is currently at work in Las Vegas, where she stars in the burlesque show “Peepshow.”
