Nasdaq-listed software services company Cognizant Technology Solutions has announced plans to expand its delivery centre in Phoenix, US by hiring another 500 employees to have more than a 1,000-seater facility.

Cognizant, which was founded in 1994 as a captive arm of Dun & Bradstreet, said its new delivery centre in Phoenix will accommodate over 1,000 employees, replacing its existing 500-seater facility.

The company, which provides information technology, consulting and business process outsourcing services, on Wednesday it will now provide a full range of services from the new center including application services, IT infrastructure services and knowledge process services.

Cognizant is aggressively hiring new staff within North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Australia. The company had recently crossed the 100,000-employee mark.

The company has an enterprise analytics center in New Jersey, a global network operations center in Massachusetts with oother delivery centers located in Arkansas and Illinois.
