UPDATE 1:25 p.m. EDT: Police are telling Fox 29 that the man believed to have shown a weapon is a Community College of Philadelphia student, the station tweeted. Authorities said the student is no longer on campus and was expected to turn himself in.

UPDATE 1:11 p.m. EDT: A witness told WPVI that an argument led to a man brandishing a weapon at the Community College of Philadelphia. Police are saying that the incident is not an active shooter investigation.

The main capus of the Community College of Philadelphia was being evacuated Wednesday afternoon amid reports of a person with a weapon on campus, Fox 29 tweeted:

The college sent out the following alert on its website:

"The College MAIN CAMPUS is closed due to an emergency situation.
Please do not come to the MAIN CAMPUS as conditions make it unsafe to do so.
Information will be released via the main switch board and local new outlets."
