Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has no plans to run for public office, according to an interview that will air tonight on CNN.

I cannot imagine myself running for office,” Rice told host Piers Morgan. “Not because politics are so tough, but it's just not me.

One reason she cited is age.

I'm not very young anymore, said the 56-year old woman.

Rice is currently serving as a professor of political science at Stanford University as well as a professor of political economy in the university's graduate school of business.

It's certainly different being out of power, she said. You can read the newspaper and you can say, 'Oh, isn't that interesting?' You can go on to the next page if you like, which I rather enjoy.
