FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The European economic outlook looks gloomier in December than it did in November for the European consumers, according to the latest economic sentiment report published by the European Commission.

Consumer sentiment index has declined to a level of -9 in December, from -8 in November, a decline widely expected by the analysts. The industrial confidence index has decreased to 2 from 3 in the previous month.

Confidence in the services sector was the most positive aspect of the report, as it increased to 14 from 13 in November.

The overall economic sentiment has edged down to 104 .7 from 104.8 in November.
