Japan consumer price index dropped to -0.2% during the year ended May 31, compared to the previous reading of -0.1% a year earlier, while the actual reading came lower than with the analysts' expectations which noted to -0.1%.

Japan's annualized CPI excluding food and energy released with an actual 0.1% during the 12 months ended May, where the actual reading came inline with the market's anticipations and the previous reading.
