The Australian economy released its consumer prices index (QoQ) for the second quarter of the year which rose 0.9%, compared with a previous 1.6%, while the actual reading came above the market's forecasts that referred to 0.7%.

Moreover, the annualized consumer prices index rose 3.6% in the 2nd quarter, compared with a previous reading 3.3% a year earlier, while the anticipations estimated of 3.4%.
