Bombs Away; Toys for Boys

01 April 2008 @ 03:00 pm EDT

What little boy doesn't fantasize about flying a fighter plane? Now grownup "boys" with some bucks to spare can realize their childhood dream of battle avionics. And we're not talking about a one-shot deal here ... you can own an actual fighter plane that has seen real action, like the North American P-51D Mustang, used by RCAF from 1947 to 1960, "L" Birds, T-34 Mentors, O-2 "Fighting Skymasters" and T-28 Trojans. Courtesy Aircraft Sales specializes in rare, vintage and one-of-a-kind war bird and civilian aircraft. This private collection consists of flyable aircraft in excellent condition and some restoration projects. Planes range in cost from $25,000-1,800,000.
