Kunming
The Kunming of today is a modern and orderly Chinese city and provincial capital, known as the ‘City of Eternal Spring’ for its mild climate and the agricultural bounty produced in the surrounding counties.

Whilst high-rise apartments and modern shopping centres have taken over parts of the city, the colorful shopper’s mecca that is the Bird and Flower Market, and the temple-studded slopes of the Western Hills, with their fine views over the Dian Lake. And don’t forget to try the city’s famous culinary specialty –  a steaming bowl of Across-The- Bridge Noodles.
