Luxury Vehicles: Ferrari announced today that is teaming up with Chinese artist Lu Hao, one of China's most famous and influential contemporary artists in order to release in the next months the 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE package in the special China Limited Edition.

The new limited edition shows a two-tone GTB in Rosso Fuoco and silver roof, incorporating unique Chinese elements into the design. This is the first time that Ferrari produces a limited edition model to China.

Lu Hao, in his work with Ferrari, drew inspiration from China's ancient literary traditions, the peerless Ge Kiln porcelain and the fabled Silk Road, adding his own unique interpretation of Chinese culture.

Hand-Painted Edition
It appears that the 599 GTB Fiorano China Limited Edition created by Chinese artist Lu Hao will also have a unique one-off vehicle which will be auctioned on the 3rd of November at a special Gala Auction Event hosted by Ferrari in Beijing.

This new one-off model comes with a very special hand-painted exterior finish, which draws inspiration from Ge Kiln porcelain of the Song Dynasty. Lu Hao has also prepared traditional design elements with Ferrari's innovative styling to create a truly unique vehicle using a "cracked" glaze pattern which is elegantly colored, with clearly defined cracks etched at different depths. As you may know already, porcelain is one of China's most distinctive ancient arts, which was brought to the West via the ancient Silk Road thousands of years ago.
