Where should this year's 2.3 million college graduates launch their careers?

Places where strong social networks will allow them to find jobs, be satisfied with their communities, enjoy vibrant nightlife, and find a life partner, advises Richard Florida, a professor of management at the University of Toronto, and author of The Rise of the Creative Class and Who's Your City?

Florida says these cities best meet the criteria:

  1. Boulder, Colo.
  2. San Francisco
  3. Washington, D.C.
  4. Madison, Wisc.
  5. Boston
  6. Los Angeles
  7. New York City
  8. Santa Barbara, Calif.
  9. Worcester, Mass.
  10. Bridgeport, Conn. (tie)
  11. Trenton, N.J. (tie)
