GM CEO sees China auto market growing significantly

General Motors Co GM.UL Chief Exective Fritz Henderson said on Tuesday he expected the Chinese auto market, which has shown strong growth in recent months, to grow at a significant pace in the future.

GM said last week that its China vehicle sales surged 55.6 percent in the first nine months of this year from year-ago levels, surpassing forecasts.

Henderson was speaking at a news conference in Shanghai.
