Country music band "Gloriana" won the Breakthrough Artist of the Year Sunday night at the American Music Awards 2009, beating favorite Pop singer Lady Gaga.

The band, - formed by two brothers Tom and Mike, and two female singers Rachel and Cheyenne - thanked their fans and fellow singer Taylor Swift during their acceptance speech at Los Angeles' Nokia Theater. Taylor Swift, who also took important awards tonight, invited them to tour with her.

"Gloriana" was formed in 2007. The band's single "Wild At Heart," is the best selling single by a new country artist this year with about 350,000 copies sold.
