Nick Jonas, the younger member of pop teen trio "Jonas Brothers" announced he will kick off a solo tour in 14 cities in the U.S. early next year.

In his new project, Nick Jonas is joined by "The Administration" band. Its members are John Fields, the bassist, drummer Michael Bland, keyboardist Tommy Barbarella and guitarist Sonny Thompson.

The tour will feature the songs from Nick Jonas & The Administration's "Who I Am" album due out on February 2. Their first single is schedule for release tomorrow.

Nick and producer John Fields recorded the "Who I Am" project in Nashville's Blackbird Studios earlier this year. The material - which consisted of 3 years' worth of song ideas- did not quite fit for the Jonas Brothers, according to the project's MySpace blog.

However, the show will feature "surprise" cover songs and a handful of Jonas Brothers songs.

"This is something that can definitely co-exist with the Jonas Brothers," Nick told People Magazine, meaning he work on the project is not the end for the "Jonas Brothers."

His brothers Joe and Kevin - who Nick said support his solo project - are expected to attend the concerts as audience members, People magazine says.

The tour starts January 2, 2010 in Dallas and resumes on January 30 in Berkeley, California. Tickets will start selling on December 5 .
