Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Jones died Thursday at her home in Malibu, California at age 90.

Jones died of natural causes, the Associated Press reported. She was considered one of the great beauties of the big screen in the 40's and 50's and won an Academy Award in 1943 for best actress for her performance in the movie "The Song of Bernadette."

She also starred in many other films, including Duel in the Sun (1946), Beat the Devil (1953), Love is a Many-SplendoredThing (1955) and her final film appearance in The Towering Inferno (1974).

Jones had been married twice when she met a wealthy industrialist, Norton Simon and married him in 1971. The couple remained together until his death in 1993. Simon founded the Norton Simon Museum and Jones became chair of the museum's board of directors after his death.

Mrs. Simon is survived by her son, Robert Walker, eight grandchildren, and four greatgrandchildren.
