Pop newcomer Ke$ha took her first solo chart single "TiK ToK" to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart Wednesday.

She becomes the first female vocalist to rise to No. 1 with her debut single since Lady Gaga stormed the list with "Just Dance" in January 2009.

"TiK ToK" is actually the second Hot 100 No. 1 to feature vocals by the 22-year-old. She had a non-credited appearance on Flo Rida's six-week chart-topper "Right Round" earlier this year. "TiK ToK" is the first single from Ke$ha's debut album, "Animal," which is set for a January 5 release.

Ke$ha ended the five-week run of "Empire State of Mind," which slipped to No. 2. In a rare chart occurrence, an acoustic version of "Empire" by Keys debuted at No. 55. Different takes of a song are usually merged with the original versions for the purpose of chart rankings, but when a contributing vocalist (Keys) takes the reins without help from the lead act (Jay-Z), the songs are tracked separately.

No new tracks entered the top 10 for a third straight frame, the longest stretch in almost six years. Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" held at No. 3, and the next four rankings were also unchanged: Iyaz's "Replay" at No. 4, Owl City's "Fireflies" at No. 5, "Sexy Chick" by David Guetta featuring Akon at No. 6, and Jason Derulo's "Whatcha Say" at No. 7.

Jay Sean's "Down" rebounded two to No. 8, while the Black Eyed Peas slipped one to No. 9 with "Meet Me Halfway." Britney Spears' "3" fell one to No. 10.

Eminem claimed the chart's top debut, coming in at No. 29 with "Hell Breaks Loose." The song features Dr. Dre and is one of the new tracks that appear on Eminem's re-released "Relapse: Refill." Another new cut, "Elevator," debuted at No. 67.
