Mary J. Blige will sing and Queen Latifah will take part in an all-star musical number when next week's People's Choice Awards ceremony kicks off the Hollywood awards season.

Organizers said on Tuesday that the awards, chosen directly by fans, have attracted a record-breaking 60 million votes on the website www.peopleschoice.com. Voting for favorite new TV comedy and drama shows will remain open until show night on January 6.

"New Moon" star Taylor Lautner, actors Steve Carell and Sandra Bullock, singers Mariah Carey, Carrie Underwood and LL Cool J will be among the celebrities attending the People's Choice Awards show, broadcast live from Los Angeles on the CBS network.

The show's executive producer Mark Burnett said the show would be "jam-packed" with surprises and performances.

The People's Choice Awards celebrates fan favorites in music, movies and television.

The vampire romance "Twilight" has a leading seven nominations in the movie category, while Bullock is among nominees for favorite movie actress. Taylor Swift and Britney Spears are among those competing in the music categories.
