Luxury Real Estate: This spectacular single-family residence houses painting and artwork as if it were an art gallery. This bright and open two-story penthouse in San Antonio, Tex., was made to showcase artwork. The very creative floor plan of this six-bedroom and six-bath house of more than 15,000 square feet is the work of an internationally renowned art collector.

The entire top floor of this vertically upward domicile is dedicated to exhibition space, while the lower floor is a contemporary cornucopia of luxury minimalism at its finest. There is a rooftop terrace that features a garden, a multilevel deck, and a current pool.

While this elaborately innovative residence borders San Antonio's burgeoning art district, it looks more like the district's starting point to us. But what do we know about art?

Sweet! Previously, the 80-year-old building was a candy factory.
