First spotted on The House Vote: the work of Dallas architect Max Levy. Levy grew up in Texas, studied at Berkeley, and specializes in finely detailed modernist structures. We especially like Levy's innovative way with low-cost, industrial elements: MDF interior cladding, battleship linoleum, and hardware-store pendant lights. Below are a selection of images from various projects throughout Texas; go to Max Levy Architect for more information.

Above R: Levy created low-cost light fixtures using porcelain sockets backed by disks of light-reflecting G-90 galvanized sheet metal.
