Corsair announced its new Extreme SSD series as additional to the lines of the company’s solid state drives.

The new products is offered with a two-year warranty, prices are not disclosed by the company but an online search turned up a couple of sites offering the 128GB version in the $400US range, the 64GB version for around $240US and the 32GB for $160 in retail price.

The model uses Samsung MLC flash memory with an Indilinx Barefoot controller and 64MB of DRAM cache.

The new Extreme SSD drives are available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities. It has a sequential read speeds of up to 220MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 135MB/s respectively for its X64 and X32 while X128 has sequential read and write speeds of up to 240MB/s and 170MB/s.
